  • As much as Rs.3.91 lakh crore worth of shares are still held in physical form in 3448 listed companies(1).

  • Investor Education and Protection Fund holds Securities amounting to 105.52 crore worth approx. Rs. 45,253 crore in 1000+* companies and unclaimed dividends lying unpaid amounting to approx. Rs. 5,262 crore(2).

  • We note that approximately more than 60% of all the investors pursued by us didn’t know about existence of at least one or more investments owing to various reasons.

  • It is more complex than it may appear, the scope of work could range from a simple ‘dematerialisation’ to maybe ‘loss of share certificates’ or ‘transmission of shares owing to the shareholders being deceased’ or ‘claiming of the shares from IEPF Authority’ or any combination thereof. The turnaround time (TAT) could thus range from ~2 months to 33+ months.
